British Dog Island is situated approximately 10 miles/16 km west of Anguilla and 23 miles/32 km from the international airport on St. Maarten, which has direct flights from New York, Miami and Europe.
Dog Island is approximately 500 acres in size, contains a fresh water well, a natural marina site and 1/2 mile, long grass airstrip that would be an excellent airport when graded and paved. The island is of rock base, with all building sites located well above sea level. The beach is considered by many to be one of the best in the Caribbean.
