WHERE DO WE GO ?
Once all guests are confirmed on board the tour heads for the Simpson bay Bridge on the Dutch side of the Island into the largest lagoon in the Caribbean. Here you will see ( in the high season ) the Mega Yachts lined up on show and the villas on the lagoon. A quick tour of the lagoon is ended by Marigot ( capital of the French side of the Island ) , where is the opportunity to make pictures of the Marina Royale. From here we pass under the French side Bridge to the opposite side of Marigot with all the private sailing boats moored in the Bay and the historic Fort Luis and French flag overlooking the town.
It’s a short cruise to Frairs Bay and Happy bay, two distinctly different bays right next to each other, one tourist hotspot, famous on the Island for its full moon parties, the other abandoned and untouched.
Next we make a course for Tintamarre Island. this Island is part of the marine reserve and we stop here for some swimmimg with sea turtles is and experience to never forget. To note is the water here is always calm and perfect for those a bit nervous about swimming.
FEELING THIRSTY & HUNGRY ?
From Tintamarre we head to Pinel Island, where our Captain will take you to a shallow beach where you can sit in the water and have a drink , enjoy the beach or take little walk over the hill to see really nice panorama of St Barths. We spend about hour on Pinel Island, where we have a lunch in famous Yellow beach restaurant. You can see a lot of iguanas, make the pictures ! Try them Pina colada, probably the best on the Island.Lunch is included in the price of the Tour is really tasty ! ( Check the reviews on TripAdvisor )
BACK TO THE UNDERSEA WORLD
Next on the trip is Creole Rock, 20 min from Pinel Island, located in the middle of the Bay of Grand Case, the marine reserves best kept secret. Shalow water and sea life abound. This is THE spot to snorkel on the Island.
After leaving Creole Rock we head around the Island, past old ruins from the 95 hurricane, Bay Rouge with its red rock cliffs, Terre Base ( St Martins own Hollywood ) with its huge houses on the cliffs to arrive at Long Bay and La Samanna Resort. Feed the ” Angel fish ” in the turquoise water while seeing if you can spot one of the many celebrities that chill on the golden sands of this exclusive resort.
Last but not least. Many have seen the videos of the people watching the airlines landing at St Maartens famous Princess Juliana Airport but not many get to see a huge aircraft land directly overhead…. from the sea ! Make sure you have your cameras ready to prove to your friend that you did it ! * ( we try our best be there to see the big Airplanes landing , not whole year we have every day big planes coming ).
THE FINAL LEG
After that rush it’s a short cruise back around Simpson bay, where the Captain will take you past the larger Mega Yachts ( over 150 ft ) that will not fit in the lagoon, before arriving back at Dock Maarten Chesterfield Marina. A full day of fun in the sun, with bog overview about our Island – SXM.
